Eswatini Air flying to biggest loss

-

When a majority of the population is living in poverty, how are people expected to board Eswatini Air when travelling? Teachers and other civil servants are earning peanuts. This is why boSkhumba make fun of our airport, saying they have never seen a quiet airport like ours. MUZIWANDILE MTHETHWA

Less than five per cent of emaSwati afford to board a plane and that is a fact. The airline will never make profits as long the economy is structured the way it is. Even the E27 million comes from companies and NGOs, maybe E1 million of that comes from individuals.

MALEV LEKET

That Eswatini Air is operating at a loss should not be a surprise to anyone; the aviation industry is one of the most challenging and very hard industries, especially in 3rd world countries. Let us take it as transportation medium not business, it will never make profits. It is not government’s fault but it’s the nature of the industry. CULTURE DLAMINI
