Eswatini Wire hoists ISO flag
MATSAPHA – The local steel company, Eswatini Wire, hoisted an ISO 9001 flag to demonstrate its commitment to manufacturing quality products that last longer and provide value for consumers.
The flag hoisting ceremony was held at Matsapha offices, yesterday.
The Director at Eswatini Wire, Wayne Allen, said they are not only on a mission to produce quality products but to manufacture products that lasts longer, ensuring that consumers get value for their money.
He said inasmuch as they are constantly trying to expand their products in steel and wire, quality is at the centre.
This commitment to quality has been recognised by Business Eswatini (BE), which congratulated Eswatini Wire on attaining ISO accreditation. Musa Maseko, the Head of Trade and Commerce at BE, said they are impressed with such companies where quality is not just a goal but a principle.
Encouraged
Maseko further encouraged Eswatini Wire to continue to set the bar for competitors in the industry. Maseko was representing BE CEO Nathi Dlamini.
Phillip Ndawe from SWASA said he is proud of Eswatini Wire for putting in the effort to attain the accreditation.
He revealed that it is not an easy journey but Eswatini Wire’s determination proved otherwise.
The steel company started its ISO accreditation process in 2017, received their first certificate in 2020 and continued to work toward the second certificate, which they attained last year.
In total, their journey marking this day, lasted 7 years.
Meanwhile, Chief Quality Administrator from the Ministry of Commerce said through this accreditation Eswatini Wire is encouraging an export stimulated economy. She also said that the company should note that quality is currency. Dlamini further pleaded with BE to bring in more businesses that are keen on manufacturing quality products to strengthen the economy.
