Distortion of black African history II

- GUEST WRITER SABELO GABS NXUMALO

Ware the real chosen people of God? The recent revelation by Russian President Vladimir Putin of a black-faced religious icon has sparked a serious debate about the true race of biblical figures such as Abraham, Jacob, Moses and even Jesus Christ. I will not try to misrepresent the Bible in any way, but expose how African history has been distorted deliberately throughout history. Please don’t be annoyed, evidence I will present.

The scriptures are about the Hebrew people the Israelis. Abraham (Abram) the patriarch of the faith was the first person to be called a Hebrew (Genesis 14:13). The genealogy of the sons of Noah: Sham, Ham and Japheth. And sons were born of them after the flood (Genesis 10:1). In Genesis 10 we see 70 nations formed.

Sons of Japheth (Caucasian Hebrews)

The sons of Japheth were Gomer, Magog, Madai, Javan, Tubal, Meshech and Tiras. The sons of Gomer were Ashkenaz, Riphath and Togarmah. Gomer (Hebrew: Greek: Romanized: Gamer) was the eldest son of Japheth (and of the Japhetic line), and father of Ashkenaz, Riphath and Togarmah, according to the ‘Table of Nations’ in the Hebrew Bible (Genesis 10). The Ashkenaz are one of two major ancestral groups of Hebrew people whose ancestors migrated to France and Central and Eastern Europe, including Germany, Poland and Russia.

The other group is called Sephardic Hebrew and it includes those whose ancestors migrated and lived in Spain, Portugal, parts of North Africa and the Middle East.

They would evolve and intermingle to form the Caucasian nations of Europe. African slaves in America would refer to white people as ‘Tubal’, one of the sons of Japheth.

Sons of Ham (Black African Hebrews)

Out of the 70 descendants of Noah, 30 of them were from Ham. Ham’s descendants: The forefather of Cush (Ethiopia, Kush Empire, Babylon, Uruk, Akkad and Kalneh), Egypt (Mizraim) and Phut (Libya), and of Canaan, whose lands include most of Africa and the Middle East. There was a lot of cultural overlap with the Ancient Egyptians, but they were considered separate cultures. The word Ham/Cush to a Hebrew is for ‘burnt’, ‘black’ or ‘hot’, which means these were black people who started civilisation within that area (fact).

In Genesis 10: 8-12, Cush was the father of Nimrod (who was a black man) who became a mighty warrior on earth. He built the first centers of his kingdom Babylon, which were Uruk, Akkad and Kalneh in Shinar. From that land, he went to Assyria, where he built Nineveh, Rehoboth, Calah 12, and Resen, which is between Nineveh and Calah.

Sons of Sham (Abrahamic Hebrew line)

Sham is the ancestor of Abraham, first to be called Hebrew and father of the Israelis; most probably a black man. Abraham had two sons, Ishmael and Isaac. How could Sarah, his wife, allow a black woman, Hagar, to bear the son of Promise for her husband Abraham unless they were all black?

Isaac had two sons, Jacob and Esau. Jacob, later renamed Israel, had 12 sons, including Joseph. Joseph’s descendants became the tribes of Israel, and through the tribe of Judah came King David and eventually Jesus Christ.

The whole Bible plays out on African soil. Genesis 2: 10-13 puts the Garden of Eden in Africa, mentioning the land of Nubia all the way to Ethiopia with no reference to Europe.

The 12 Tribes of Israel were Shamite descended from the patriarch Jacob, son of Isaac and grandson of Abraham, who was renamed Israel and gave his name to the nation. Jacob’s 12 sons, in order of birth, are Reuben, Simeon, Levi, Judah, Dan, Naphtali, Gad, Asher, Issachar, Zebulun, Joseph and Benjamin.

They became the patriarchs of the 12 Tribes of Israel, except Joseph and Levi. Joseph’s two sons, Manasseh and Ephraim, who were adopted by Jacob, became the patriarchs of two tribes (Genesis 48: 5-6). Reuben lost his rights as a firstborn, as he had defiled his father’s bed (Gen. 35: 22 - 49: 3-4), thus his inheritance was divided between the two sons of Joseph.

Joseph was a black man. We have established that the Ancient Egyptians were black people descendants of Cush living in Africa. It would have been difficult for him to become a prime minister if he did not look like Ancient Egyptians. The people of this part of Africa did not have issues with skin colour but tribes. They intermarried very easily because they were all black. Joseph married a black Egyptian the mother of his two sons, Manasseh and Ephraim two future Jewish traders.

Moses was adopted by an Egyptian Pharaoh’s daughter and brought into the palace. He grew up playing with the rest of the royal family kids in the palace. How was it possible to blend in so well if Moses was a white man because the Ancient Egyptians were black? Moses married an Ethiopian wife.

The point is that the people of this period were all of colour and they lived together and intermarried freely. The issue was not skin colour but tribe. In fact, Moses was mistaken for an Egyptian in one occasion (Exodus 2:17), which confirms that he was black.

King David was black

David’s mother was a Canaanite (Black) Rahab, and his grandmother was Ruth a Moabite who was also a black Canaanite. 1 Samuel 16: 12 states that Jesse sent for young David; he was dark and handsome, with beautiful eyes. And the Lord said, “This is the one; anoint him.” In some versions, it says he was Ruddy meaning dark red like the African soil but defiantly not a white man.

King Solomon was black

As the story goes, Solomon was the son of Bathsheba the Canaanite (Black woman). Bathsheba means daughter of Sheba. Genesis 10: 7-12 states that the sons of Cush were Seba, Havilah, Sabtah, Raamah, and Sabteca. The sons of Raamah were Sheba (father to Bathsheba) and Dedan. In Song of Solomon 5: 11; Solomon is described as follows: His head is as the finest gold; his locks are bushy and black as a raven. Next week we will look at Jesus Chriest and his disciples.
