E10k for Build it’s best
NHLANGANO – You reap what you sow!
The above adage sounds true for Shiselweni-based outfit Home Affairs Football Club’s Wenkhosi Dlamini, who was presented with E10 000 for being the best player in the 2023 Build it/Eswatini Football Association Development tournament.
This transpired in yesterday’s presentation, which was graced by the presence of EFA Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Frederick Mngomezulu, Build it Human Resources Manager Gladwin Hillary and Nhlangano Build it Store Manager Musa Patel at the Nhlangano Build it store.
When presenting the replica cheque, Hillary said it was their utmost pleasure to give the E10 000 to the Player of the Tournament as per their promise.
“We are happy to be here to present E10 000 to our Build it Development tournament’s Best Player, who is from Nhlangano,” Hillary said.
Prioritised
He said the money would be used towards the future star’s academic needs, as they also prioritised education.
“Developing talent goes hand-inhand with developing education. We would like to congratulate Wenkhosi for this milestone. He has made Shiselweni proud,” he said.
Meanwhile, EFA, through Mngomezulu, expressed their gratitude to Build it for the 17-year-old partnership in developing football in the country. He stated that the tournament started in Mbabane and spread throughout the country. It has resulted in the unearthing of talent players who went on to play for the national team, Sihlangu.

He is now part of the junior national team set up,” Mngomezulu said.
The EFA general secretary hoped that the player would continue to play the sport and graduate to the senior national team, Sihlangu.
“I would like to thank his parents and coach for nurturing him and we are hoping to see him growing in the sport. In the past we used to send the players for an attachment at Amazulu,” he said.
Mngomezulu further revealed that Build it invested over E1 million a year towards the development of the sport in the country, and they were happy that the store had assured them to continue sponsoring the tournament.
