“The EP was inspired by the love of music, I am a performing artist and DJ, so I feel I have a calling to contribute to the arts space. Just under a year, I have withheld two releases because I am a perfectionist.
“I have to always respect my audience globally when I create my music. The comeback still feels unreal to me because having gone from the music scene for this long, you come back to a totally different environment, but I am very excited and ready to connect with my old and new audiences,” he said.
When asked about some of the musicians that are featured on the EP, cited popular South African award-winning musicians.
“We have exciting features on the EP including Urban Matjila, a Gospel sensation from Zebediela my home town, we approached him with my brother who is also my manager. Even when they try to poison the sky, Shawn declares he will fly.

“It was the first time in his career having to feature on a house project but he was very receptive to the idea and we have two big songs with him, ‘Nkateko’ and ‘Bophelo ke wena’.
“The other two features are with Speedy and a social media influencer Mphela Mphela. The song where I feature Speedy titled ‘Siyabonga’ was recorded a long time ago in the hope of releasing a single, but we thought an EP would work better since I haven’t released music in a long time,” the DJ Menace said.
He went on share what the new project means to him, citing that it’s a reflection of his life.
“Well, I would say this is a very spiritual EP, it represents the journey I went through in my life and I am very sure this is a journey of many. Having lost cars, houses and still keeping faith.
It talks a lot about how God can restore broken hearts and puts you in the position of power again.
