Leopard Hub Utility Champ of Champs
MBABANE – Royal Leopard were crowned the Champion of Champions of the 2024 Hub Utility Stores Under-17 tournament. The event, which was held at the Sigwaca House on Friday was graced by the Eswatini Football Association (EFA) Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Frederick Mngomezulu, Ingwe Mabalabala Public Relations Officer (PRO) Frank Hurube, his counterparts at Mbabane Swallows and Madlenya Knowledge Ngwenya and Comfort Jele.
Also present was the Hhohho Regional Football Association (HRFA) Chairperson of Development, Ntokozo Tsela, HRFA Vice-Chairperson Donald Nkonyane as well Hub Utility Stores’ Khumbuzile ‘Khumbu’ Dlamini.
Dlamini congratulated the six champions from the zones as well as the runners-up for the exciting brand of football they displayed during the course of the tournament. “I would also congratulate the champ of champs,” Dlamini said.
She also revealed that the coaching workshop that the store hosted at the Sigwaca House a week ago made them to naturally bond with all the coaches and administrators of the junior teams.
Nkonyane, on the other hand, on behalf of the HRFA Chairperson Comfort Shongwe, thanked Hub Utility Stores for the continued sponsorship for the juniors and, said he was happy that the partnership was yielding the desired results in terms of marketing the products of the store.
“This marriage started around 2016 here in Mbabane, but it has now spread to other zones. My special thanks go to both Mbabane Swallows and Royal Leopard as they support their juniors by feeding them during games. We really appreciate that,” Nkonyane said.
Meanwhile, the Ingwe Mabalabala U-17 were presented with a full set of playing kits and other equipment such as bibs for their milestone.
