Then In­dia San­marga Ikya ( TISI) Sangam chief ex­ec­u­tive of­fi­cer Jai Narayan said the or­gan­i­sa­tion vis­ited af­fected mem­bers by Trop­i­cal Cy­clone Win­ston and pro­vided kitchen uten­sils to 300 fam­i­lies in the west. “And last Sun­day (we gave out) kitchen uten­sils to 300 fam­i­lies in Ba, Tavua and Raki­raki,” Mr Narayan said. TISI Sangam sec­re­tary gen­eral Da­mend Gounder said the re­lief as­sis­tance was a part of the com­mit­tee’s $300,000 ear­marked for TC Win­ston Re­lief Fund. “School sta­tionery packs were or­gan­ised to be dis­trib­uted and we es­ti­mated sta­tionery pack cost per head for pri­mary schools was $12 and se­condary schools $22. “TISI Sangam Fiji to date have dis­trib­uted 6000 packs of sta- tionery to schools in Ba, eight schools in Tavua, 20 schools in Raki­raki and six schools in Tave­uni and Savusavu as well as hosted lunch for 16 schools from 1st March to date, 14 gen­er­a­tors,” Mr Narayan said. TISI Sangam also has taken the re­spon­si­bil­ity to re­build all the Sangam tem­ples and the as­sess­ment of dam­age work has al­ready started for the tem­ples. TISI Sangam has also set up a med­i­cal camp in as­so­ci­a­tion with Rama Kr­ishna Mis­sion to as­sist the TC Win­ston vic­tims. Edited by Ru­si­ate Mataika
