Macuata children taught to live by Ten Commandments
Macuata Sunday school teacher Savaira Suraki yesterday said children at a four- day Easter camp were taught the 10 commandments to live a better life. “They were taught God’s Ten Commandments which shows us how to live a better life,” said Ms Suraki of the Raranibulubulu Methodist church. “We warned the participants not to commit any crime or do things against God’s will as there are consequences.” The 20-family member village has been commended highly in the past as a crime free zone. Ms Suraki said the goal of the camp for the 35 participants was two-fold.
“Firstly, to educate the children and youths what is Easter all about and how it should be celebrated. Secondly, to educate them to be a good citizen and say no to crime.
