The im­me­di­ate need to lo­cate a camp and train­ing site in Fiji The con­tract­ing of 30-lo­cal based play­ers for the NSW Cup com­pe­ti­tion The con­tracted play­ers will un­dergo spe­cialised train­ing and diet mon­i­tored by the highly qual­i­fied spe­cial­ists sim­i­lar to what NRL play­ers go through with their clubs For the weekly com­pe­ti­tion; if away matches the team will fly out of Fiji on Fri­day, play on Satur­day or Sun­day and re­turn the next day If they are play­ing at home, the visi­tors will fly in on Fri­day, play on Satur­day and re­turn on Sun­day. The overseas teams will fly in with their sup­port­ers as well, which is a boost to the lo­cal econ­omy. Only 20 of the con­tracted play­ers will play in a week. The rest of the play­ers will re­turn to their re­spec­tive clubs and play in the Voda­fone Cup com­pe­ti­tion. The high in­ten­sity train­ing they un­dergo in camp will help lift the stan­dard of the lo­cal com­pe­ti­tion.
