- LITIA CAVA Feedback: litia.cava@fijisun.com.fj SUVA Edited by Paula Tuvuki

The Lord gave, and the Lord has taken away; blessed be the name of the Lord. This line from the Bible echoed at Cunningham Stage 4 area in Suva during the memorial service of 21-year-old Kitione Tukana. Mr Tukana was described as: “A person who was full of life.” This was evident as friends and families, young and old gathered in numbers to bid their final respects to Mr Tukana during the service at the Seventh Day Adventist Church. Mr Tukana died after the car he was in veered off Ratu Mara Rd, Samabula, Suva, and landed at the bottom of a cliff opposite Bayview Heights last Sunday morning. His mother, Salote Tukana said: “Out of three children, Tukana was the one who love to challenge our home rules. “Thus, one thing was for sure that his personality attracted both young and old people.” Everyone who attended the service was moved by how Mrs Tuka- na reminisced and articulated his son’s personality.

His friends, coach and family expressed the same sentiments for the 21-year-old. Mr Tukana attended Annesley Primary School and Suva Methodist Primary School and later completed his secondary education at Dudley High School, Marist Brothers High School and Nasinu Secondary School.

He also took part in the Fiji Finals where he won a number of medals as he was one of the best known athletes during his school days and was also part of the Cunningham Rugby League Team. Mr Tukana was buried at the Lovonilase Cemetery in Suva.
