Outgoing ANZ Pacific and Fiji chief executive officer Vishnu Mohan said goodbye to his ANZ Bank family in Fiji yesterday. Mr Mohan has been the chief executive officer based here for the last four years and has enjoyed his stay in Fiji. He said he would continue in his position of chairman of the Public Service Commission for the time being.

He said: “I think for the time being I will because of the reforms that are happening and I have made some appointments recently so I have been asked by the Minister so I will stay for now and the im- mediate future.

“We love the country; it’s a great country; very peaceful with a lot of prospects; it’s a country of warmth and friendly people; We love Fiji,” Mr Mohan said. Mr Mohan is married to Bubby Mohan and they have two grownup sons and recently became grandparents to their first grandchild, three-week-old Niya, currently living with her parents in Mumbai, India. The former CEO plans to visit his granddaughter in Mumbai, and make trips to Malaysia before going to his home town in Toronto, Canada.

“I plan to do a little bit of travelling as we have had our first granddaughter in Mumbai; we are going to visit her and spend time with her for a month. “We have a home in Malaysia where we will spend three weeks before coming back to Fiji in the last week of June for 10 days.”
