HATS FOR COLD

-

MAIKA BOLATIKI

et and rainy season is always cold and we need to wear warm clothes.

When fully dressed in this season, the head is often the largest uncovered part of the body, often uncovered even when going out in the cold, so putting on a hat is the first step to make a big difference to keep warm.

Putting on a hat to keep you warm is easy and it is also easy to take it off again if you start to warm up.

There are countless designs of hats for cold weather and people have their own designs and likes.

Some favour synthetic materials over wool for comfort and fit, less itchy and less likely to go baggy than wool.

A beanie type is very effective and should be able to be pulled over the ears or have ear flaps that can be folded up if not needed.

Balaclavas are useful too, they can often be rolled up to look like a conventional hat before rolling down to cover the face and neck.

It is good to have another hat in case you misplace it, or someone removes it from where you normally leave it.
