Draunidalo marches on

- Feedback: maraia.vula@fijisun.com.fj

Suspended National Federation Party MP Roko Tupou Draunidalo is still having a go at the military, even outside of Parliament.

Speaking at a charitable organisation lunch, she again questioned the cost of the military. Then she added about peacekeeping: “When we get into Government, this is something I will be very interested in. To get the wealthy members of UN to pay our military peacekeeping budget of about $100 million plus directly and indirectly per year- so that our poor country can be relieved of the financial and other burden.” The key words are “When we get into government”. Seems Roko Tupou is not only a military critic but also a dreamer.

Warming up on Denarau Is that steam starting to rise from our normally warm and sun kissed tourism hub of Denarau?

Seems things are getting a little hot behind the scenes over the emergence of new players. Both on the original Denarau and adjacent to it. Watch for possible developments in this area in the months ahead.
