$5K For Drag Race
Lincoln Refrigeration Limited has given Fiji Car Club $5000 for the Drag Race on July 24 at Nanuku Aerodrome in Pacific Harbour. The winner gets $500 cash voucher, second prize is $300 and third prize is $200. “We are very thankful for the kind donation from Lincoln Refrigeration,” Fiji Car Club assistant secretary Amit Prasad said. “They have been with us for the past few years now and have become a part of the Fiji Car Club family and we want to thank them for being there and supporting us.”
Lincoln Refrigeration Limited managing director Praveen Singh said they are pleased to be supporting Fiji Car Club. “I am very glad that we have been associated with Fiji Car Club for another year,” Singh said. “Ravin Nath approached us for this event and we can’t say no to him. We are very glad again that we are supporting Fiji Car Club.
“Lincoln Refrigeration is not only associated with Drag Race but with other sports in Fiji.” Prasad said they are looking forward to having a wonderful race. “It is a family event and we want more participants this year and hoping at least 30 plus cars will take part,” Prasad said. “We’re looking forward to other competitors for Ravin Nath also because I am sure he is getting bored of winning. “This year we started seeing 40 to 50 cars lining up since we introduced a new category involving ladies and the hybrid category and we hope the numbers keep growing.” Edited by Osea Bola
