Fijiana fit: Cracknell

Women’s Rugby coaching director Chris Cracknell has been impressed with the current performance of the national women sevens squad preparing for the Rio Olympics next month. Cracknell commended the girls’ attitude and he couldn’t ask for more. “Fitness levels have gone through the roof, the girls are very fit,”he said. “We’ve got a couple pushing up and over the scores we have set for them and the girls at the bottom are really starting to step up. Tough week last week as they trained with the boys on the beach.” Cracknell said the girls know it would be hard fighting for a spot in Rio. “I’m not going to drop anybody yet today but the girls know I could tap them on the shoulder anytime.”
