Dead Baby Found in Bus is Murder, Police Say

Police are now treating the case where a baby was found dead in a bus as murder. This was confirmed by Police spokesperson Inspector Josaia Weicavu. He said: “The post mortem result of a baby revealed that the baby was suffocated to death. “We appeal to members of the public for information to locate the mother. Anyone with information is requested to contact Crime Stoppers on 919.” Inspector Weicavu said Police continue with investigations. The body of the baby was found inside a bus which was parked at a garage in Wainibokasi on July 4. The discovery was made after 8am by a 56-year-old mechanic who was cleaning the bus. The bus was parked at the garage since its last trip on Saturday night after 7pm on July 2.
