Actress Saiyami Kher, who is making her Bollywood debut with Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra’s Mirzya, says she finds it mind-blowing to see Alia Bhatt’s range as an actor. “There is so much to learn from any generation (of actors). Currently, I am completely blown away by Alia Bhatt’s work. She is completely on another level altogether,” Saiyami told IANS. “The kind of films she does is mindblowing. I watched Udta Punjab and she is phenomenal,” she added. In her debut film Mirzya”, Saiyami Kher has been paired with another newcomer Harshvardhan Kapoor, son of Anil Kapoor. Asked if she hopes to make inroads into international cinema someday, Saiyami Kher said: “I would love to because I don’t see language as a barrier in acting. If something comes along, it would be wonderful. I would love to do a Japanese film some day.” Saiyami Kher has previously worked in Rey, which is a 2015 Telugu action musical film produced and directed by YVS Chowdary on his Bommarillu Films banner. With the release of Mirzya she will be making her recognition in Bollywood industry as well. The film Mirzya will be based on the famous folklore that essays the love story of Mirzya and Sahiba. Saiyami Kher will be playing the role of Sahiba. From the trailer of Mirzya it seems it tells a tale entwined in two periods. While one recites the popular folklore the story based on the other period will be given a contemporary feel of the tale.

The film is set to release on October 7, 2017.
