Telecom Fiji Limited provides ICT solutions to Double Tree Resort

Telecom Fiji Limited has implemented a full turnkey end-to-end network infrastructure for the newly renovated Double Tree by HILTON resort. This includes IP-PABX system for voice, data connectivity from mainland, high speed internet access, Wi-Fi, structured cabling, fibre optic for backbone connectivity to the rooms, network security firewalls, IP-TV, Video-on-Demand and in-room real time access to flight information. The network infrastructure also caters for other services such as CCTV surveillance and fire alarm management system.

Telecom Fiji chief executive officer, Mothilal De Silva said: “Our technical team went through a detailed design process with the involvement of Hilton teams, to ensure that the solution was fully compliant with Hilton global standards. The communications network solution had to accommodate a wide variety of activities and distributed structures, including office and administration buildings, boardroom and conference centre, children’s corner, bures, retail shops, spas, bars, outdoor activity centres, TV signal reception centre, mainland office and staff quarters.”

Telecom Fiji is currently planning to deploy undersea optic fiber cables connecting the resort to the mainland for all the hotel as well as retail and banking services required on the island. Source: Telecom Fiji Limited
