TO TEAM UP WITH AAMIR KHAN IN THUGS OF HINDOSTAN

It is con­firmed. Bol­ly­wood’s per­fec­tion­ist Aamir Khan and the Sha­hen­shah of Bol­ly­wood, Amitabh Bachchan, will be shar­ing screen to­gether for the first time in the his­tory of Hindi cin­ema. The two leg­endary ac­tors will be team­ing up for Yash Raj Films’ new pro­ject ti­tled Thugs of Hindostan. The film will be di­rected by writer-direc­tor Vi­jay Kr­ishna Acharya who has pre­vi­ously di­rected Dhoom 3 with Aamir. The movie is sched­uled to re­lease on Di­wali next year. The lead­ing lady of the film will be an­nounced soon. Aamir Khan main­tained si­lence on the pro­ject all th­ese days. And he con­firmed the news on Twit­ter as he had told the In­di­anEx­press.com ear­lier that he will let every­one know when it hap­pens. Shar­ing his ex­cite­ment about the pro­ject and the joy of work­ing with his icon, he wrote, “Fi­nally, the mo­ment I’ve been wait­ing for has come… t o work with my icon, Mr Bachchan! Thanks Adi, Vic­tor, for ‘Thugs of Hindostan’. I’m too thrilled to be work­ing with the ac­tor I have ad­mired all of my life. Shoot starts early next year, and the re­lease has been locked for Di­wali 2018. Can’t wait to get started! Fin­gers crossed.” While Aamir has worked with Acharya in Dhoom 3, Amitabh has never worked with the direc­tor be­fore. At present, Aamir Khan is busy with his next Dan­gal, which is based on wrestler Ma­havir Phogat’s life and his strug­gles to make his daugh­ters, Geeta and Babita, wrestlers. Dan­gal is all set to hit the the­atres this Christ­mas. Big B is cur­rently busy pro­mot­ing Pink, also star­ring Taapsee Pannu, An­gad Bedi, Kriti Kul­hari, Piyush Mishra and An­drea Tar­ing.
