The three lucky Courts (Fiji) Limited winners who clinched top prizes in a Courts Hong Kong Rugby 7s promotion left on Thursday for a trip of a lifetime. This is to watch the national rugby sevens team play at the So Kon Po Stadium.

The trio; Alekisi Siromi of Vulovi, Labasa, Roneel Deo of Wailevu, Labasa, and Romiyaz Dean of Nasinu could not contain their excitement as they boarded their plane for the former British colony on the south eastern tip of China.

Yaqona farmer Mr Siromi said this would be his first overseas trip and first time to fly in an aeroplane. “With just one television flat screen which I brought from Courts last month, my dream to cheer for my team has come true,” the 50-year-old father said.

“I have no further words to explain to you about my happiness.

“Being a farmer, travelling to Hong Kong and watching the Fijian team live is a huge Easter gift for me. Thank you God and thank you Courts.”

Mr Deo, a teacher of Bulileka Sanatan College in Labasa, said he was shocked to receive a call from Courts last Sunday.

“It was just a day before I bought a washing machine and pressure cooker for my family and then next day I heard in radio that I won a ticket to Hong Kong,” the 35-year-old father said.

“I am very happy and I thank Courts for this opportunity. “I see this as a Ram Navami gift for me and my family.” Meanwhile, Mr Dean, an accountant at A Mishra & Company in Suva said he was also happy to win a return air ticket to Hong Kong.

“I just bought an air-condition unit without giving a thought of winning something,” Mr Dean said.

“I thank Courts for organising promotions allowing locals to go overseas and be part of a much anticipated sports event.”

The trio won return air tickets to Hong Kong, four nights accommodation at the five-star hotel - Regal Hong Kong, Causeway Bay, including American buffet breakfast, three days official games tickets and each $1000 spending money each.

Courts would also like to thank their associate partners Vodafone for supporting the event.
