Driver survives horror car crash in Labasa
A58-year-old Labasa man survived a car-bus crash during the busy traffic hours in Labasa yesterday morning.
The driver who declined to give his name was driving a blue 1.8 Hybrid car when it and a bus crashed along Siberia Road.
Fiji Police Force spokesperson Ana Naisoro said the victim was lucky to be alive and escape major injuries.
“It is extremely fortunate that the driver escaped serious injuries and that no one else was travelling in the vehicle with him,” Ms Naisoro said. They have yet to lay any charges because they would need to interview the driver first.
“The driver has been treated and sent home and we will question him soon,” she said.
