Netball competition battle heats up;
The weekly competition between teams in various grades in the New World Suva Netball Association is getting tougher as players continue showcase their talents, says an official.
Speaking to SUNsports yesterday SNA vice-president Gabrieli Qoro said they had 32 games played last Saturday. “This is the biggest number of weekly games played on any Saturday for any association,” he said.
“The players continue to showcase their talents and as the games progressed we could see that players are getting fitter and their skills have improved. These have made the games more competitive and exciting for the spectators and supporters.”
Qoro said the selectors have continued to identify new talents to represent the district.
“We’ve earmarked and noticed some new upcoming talents with our clubs and the selectors continued to identify new talents and new young players that have shown great netball skills that will make our Suva selection this year quite tough.”
Qoro said they would like to thank their major sponsors, New World Supermarket for their continuous support.
