Tough pick for McKee today
John McKee will have a tough time in selecting the team to face Scotland at the ANZ Stadium on Saturday.
The Vodafone Flying Fijian head coach will have to decide on which four players to start on the wings. Vereniki Goneva and Timoci Naqusa have performed well during the last test games against the Wallabies and Italy. But with the arrival of Highlanders’ Patrick Osborne and Toulon’s Josua Tuisova, the pair could be in the starting XV McKee will name the team today.
Big Challenge: Hardie
Meanwhile, Scotland’s John Hardie is looking forward to a great match-up against the Vodafone Flying Fijians. The 28-year- old Edinburgh player says they need to be on top of their game. “This is actually my second time in Fiji and it feels great to be back,” Hardie said.
“Obviously it is going to be a big challenge and we know we will be up for the big game as Fiji has some really world class players. We’re looking forward to going out there and playing as it will be a great game. “Back in Southland I played with Talemaitoga Tuapati, Patrick Osborne at the Highlanders and against Leone Nakarawa in the match between Edinburgh and Glasgow. So it will be great to catch up with my fellow mates after the game.
“I think we got a lot of positives that we need to get out of our game this week and we have a few things that we need to work on.
“Obviously Fiji play a different style of rugby compared to the Wallabies. We just need to be on top of our game.”
