Developments in Tunuloa
Joji Toronibau, Tunuloa
While on an errand to my traditional abode last week, I found that there are a lot of developments happening in and around Tunuloa areas and its peripheries.
Recently, there were solar systems installed and now we have piping and restoration of water supply plus partial maintenance in four to five villages along the Tunuloa side of Natewa Bay.
All these resources and infrastructures are unloaded at Point A and ferried across the seas to Point B.
We desperately need a proper Government road.
Our school children are the most vulnerable to elements, the senior sick citizens and the transportation of root/cash crops to and from the point of pick-ups etcetera.
There is only a stretch left to link Wailevu Primary School and Napuka Secondary School where our school children can get easy excess to these road infrastructures and do away with man-horse tracks, wading across the river and across the sea to school and back.
A road is always the best option in case of strong winds and unfavourable weather conditions.
We do not have TV reception except if you buy a Sky Pacific plan.
And Vodafone/Innk and Digicel have intermittent receptions. Again, we wish to enjoy the same opportunities as enjoyed by most Fijians locally and abroad.
Please also note, that Police presence on wheels is most paramount to weed away illegal activities.
