Former Vodafone Fijian Under-20 captain Akuila Tabualevu (Junior) will join Bourgoin Rugby Club in France in the new season. Tabualevu had signed-up a two year deal with the Pro D2 club before coming to Fiji to spend a month’s holiday with his family. The Nasegai, Kadavu native told SUNsports yesterday that they were impressed with his performance while playing for former club Cornac. He now aims to lift his performance in the new season.

“It was a fruitful season for me there were a lot of things I have learnt and many more areas I need to work on for the new season with my new club. I’m happy with the support that has been given while I’m there in France.” he said. The former Marist Brothers High School rugby captain eyes to win a spot in the Vodafone Flying Fijians squad for the 2019 Rugby World Cup.

“This is a dream of every Fijian rugby player to play in the RWC and that’s my aim,” he added.
