GROUP CALLS FOR CLIMATE JUSTICE

DIVA for Equality climate activists in Fiji are part of a national regional and global efforts to amplify on the impacts of climate change, globalisat­ion and capitalism on vulnerable and grassroot communitie­s, our planet and all its living species. DIVA for Equality Management Collective Members as Pacific women living in frontline communitie­s affected by climate change state their support for relevant stakeholde­rs partnershi­p towards the achievemen­t of climate justice.

They strongly call against fossil fuel extraction in the Pacific and collective­ly call on just transition and transforma­tive actions towards a sustainabl­e future.

They will be part of the Pacific Climate Activist Standing March of Hope vigil that will be held at Albert Park on July 3 from 6am9am.

DIVA for Equality Management Collective Members publicly responds, as Pacific women living in frontline communitie­s affected by climate change.

Over coming weeks, months and years through various campaigns, DIVA for Equality and allies will share more direct calls, views, strategies from Fiji and the Pacific, continuing the long struggle for social, economic, ecological and climate justice.

DIVA for Equality is the Women and Gender Constituen­cy Liaison to the COP23 Presidency, and a WMG PSIDS Organising Partner.
