KNOW YOUR QUEEN:

-

What was your first reaction when you were told that you were one of the 13 Queen contestants at this year’s festival? Kalomita:

I was surprised because I never really thought that they would consider me to be a contestant. But I am immensely blessed to be given such an opportunity as its THE Hibiscus Festival and that’s a lot to take in.

What are you most looking forward to for this year’s Festival? Kalomita:

The experience, the fun and most importantly the opportunity to advocate on my theme.

Has it ever crossed your mind growing up and watching the festival that one day you’ll be a part of it?

Kalomita: No! It has never crossed my mind that I would actually be participating in the Hibiscus Festival.

What do you like doing in your past time? Kalomita:

Apart from studying, I love to play volleyball and spend quality time with family and friends.

Who is your greatest inspiration by far? Kalomita:

My greatest inspiration are my parents. I am so grateful to the Almighty God for blessing me with amazing parents. They have sacrificed a lot for me and my siblings and therefore my participation this year is dedicated to them.

What would you like to take away from this year’s Hibiscus? Kalomita:

The moments that I’ve spent with the friends that I’ve made along this journey are memories that I will cherish forever and after this festival, I hope to achieve a better and more confident version of myself than before.
