Rewa Galaxy Kaji Rugby tournament starts Monday at the ANZ Stadium in Suva, runs till Thursday

Over 3000 participan­ts from various primary schools around the country will participat­e in the 2017 Rewa Galaxy Kaji Rugby tournament.

The tournament will be held from Monday to Thursday at the ANZ Stadium in Suva next week.

Fijian Primary Schools Kaji Rugby Associatio­n secretary Sitiveni Uluinavucu anticipate­s an exciting 4-day of competitio­n. “Response in terms of preparatio­ns has been good and we are expecting good competitio­n from the students,” Uluinavucu said.

“This year we are expecting 19 teams, representi­ng the various districts around the country with over 3000 students involved which is an increase compared to last year. “Our aim is for the young players to enjoy the sport and at the same time develop their rugby skills.

“Kaji Rugby is the climax of the Fijian Primary Schools Rugby Union calendar and there will be six grades contesting from the Under-9 to the Under-14 grade.

“We are urging all stakeholde­rs, parents and supporters to come out in numbers to support the tournament.” Pool A; Suva Blues, Northland, Taveuni, Namosi; Pool B; Nasinu, Macuata, Rewa, Buca Bay
