New Look, New Feel for Pasifika Communications
Pasifika Communications is set to re-brand itself. With its 23rd year of operation, the team, in collaboration, has set out some new directions for the company.
The longest running advertising agency and a media production facility started off with this process with the launch of the new logo at the Albert Park Pavillion.
New logo
Managing director Dale Hermanson said they wanted to re-brand the company to have a new look and feel for the Pacific. “Together with my team, we looked at where we wanted to go, what we wanted to do, how we wanted to look and appear to our clients.
“In coming up with the new logo, we went through an incredible process with the all of our team to get the new design,” he added. They are very proud of the new logo; they feel it’s very fresh, very colourful and a very Pacific feeling.
New departments
A change of ownership has also taken place. Mr Hermanson is now the primary shareholder of the company.
He said: “We decided to go into new directions, to re-structure and re-brand the company. We also introduced new departments to the company.”
Mr Hermanson said that the changes are to show customers, clients and the public that Pasifika is moving to new directions with new ideas and new team. They are adding new positions in the company. One in Nadi and the rest will be in Suva.
“The company is growing and diversifying offering our clients more different ways of advertising and marketing the products and services.”
They have structured in a way that there’s a team that looks after commercial clients, a team for non-commercial clients and a team looking after the tourism clients. “We are strengthening basically all those three different departments,” he said.
With the new allocation of departments, there were also new appointments of roles. Natalia Evans was appointed as the new general manager.
“It’s a huge privilege for me. I’ve been with the company for over 18 years now and this is a very exciting time for the company. Behind every successful name is a team that makes it happen! we have a great team and with these changes bigger and greater things are sure to come” said Ms Evans.
Future plans
The company recently moved to their bigger new location at McGregor Road, Suva. They will now be hiring some new recruits. “We have moved some people in management positions that previously were not. We are not investing in things; we are investing in our people,” said Mr Hermanson. Pasifika Communications is also planning to expand their advertising range digitally to fit new apps and technology.
“We have a very young team, bringing in new ideas. Because we’ve now moved into a lot more areas, we are going to see more exciting new ideas and new directions in the future,” Mr Hermanson said. “In 10 years from now, I think our client base will be strong, our creativity will be really high. We’re very excited with the new changes.”
