Woman teacher bailed

A 31-year-old primary school teacher appeared at the Suva Magistrates Court charged with assault causing actual bodily harm.

Magistrate Deepika Prakash granted bail to Kaushal Sujata Lal in the sum of $300 yesterday.

Constable Roneel Ram served full phase disclosures.

Lal produced one surety who signed a surety bond of $300. Her bail conditions are that she is not to reoffend and she is not to interfere with the prosecution witnesses.

It is alleged that on September 22 at Lami Lal assaulted a student causing her actual bodily harm.

The case has been adjourned to October 16, for plea.
