1. Give a brief description about yourself.
I am a graphic and fashion designer. Although I was born and raised in Suva, I am often asked about my ethnicity. My Dad is from Vakativa, Vanua Levu, Cakaudrove, and is an Australian.
I am a true Fijian at heart and I also wish to further my studies overseas this year.
2. What was your first reaction when you were told that you were one of the Queens at this year’s festival?
I was delighted to represent our beautiful capital city, Suva.
3. What was the motivation behind entering for this year’s TFL Miss Fiji Pageant?
I believe that representing my municipality as Miss Suva, which is a big responsibility in itself enables me to give back to my community and help others in any way that I can.
It has given me a platform to provide youths like myself an opportunity to encourage, develop and grow as an individual through my theme of holistic health and wellness.
The exposure and the chance to share my thoughts and ideas with the people of Fiji is important in order for a positive growth and change to happen within our communities.
4. Just briefly talk about your theme for the festival?
My theme is “Holistic Health & Wellness” and how it benefits us in all aspects of our lives.
Through being healthy physically, mentally and spiritually we are able to create positive changes within our community and most of all, our environment. Healthy people, leads to a healthy city and a healthy nation.
5. What are you most looking forward to for this year’s Festival?
I look forward to inspiring people to be more active and healthy in their lifestyle, as well as to build long-term networks and friendships with all those involved in the Miss Fiji Pageant.
6. Has it ever crossed your mind growing up and watching the festival that one day you’ll be a part of?
Yes, I have always wanted to gain
experience in developing myself and growing as an individual and so I did see myself in being a part of a pageant.
This in turn has given me an opportunity of a lifetime to gain experience while encouraging others to follow their calling in life.
7. Apart from your current position, what do you like doing in your past time?
I love creativity and sports and I also have a passion for creative writing and consider myself an amateur photographer.
8. Who are your greatest inspiration by far?
My greatest inspiration by far would be people with drive, motivation and integrity from all walks of life.
9. Some of the challenges in your line of work?
Currently I plan to further my studies overseas this year and improving
my design and technical skills is something that I always find challenging but worth it.
10. What would you like to take away from this year’s TFL Miss Fiji Pageant?
Friendships, lifelong networks and a wealth of knowledge and experience.
