SIR MICHAEL JONES TO SPEAK AT ANZ FIJI EXCELLENCE IN TOURISM AWARDS he ANZ Fiji Excellence in Tourism Awards (FETA) is excited to announce that Sir Michael Jones will be the keynote speaker at the 2017 Awards Gala Night Dinner. It will be held onFebruary 17th, 2018. Sir Michael Jones an All Blacks great recently became a knight companion of the New Zealand Order of Merit for his work with the Pacific community. Chairman of the Board of Trustees, Bill Whiting said Sir Michael Jones is a great ambassador for the Pacific and for the game that is loved by all Fijians. “We are honoured and excited to receive the endorsement of such a highly respected and esteemed individual as Sir Michael Jones to be our keynote speaker. The Board of Trustees is delighted to have him present with us during the awards and to speak to the industry,” Mr Whiting said when making the announcement about the keynote speaker. “We have made several announcements for the awards over the last couple of weeks and the news of Sir Michael Jones is another important one as we build up to the 2017 ANZ FETA.” The entries deadline for the Awards has been extended to Monday October 23. Trustee and Organizing Committee Chairperson Olivia Mavoa said planning and co-ordination for the awards evening is progressing well and the committee is working to deliver a bigger and better event after last season’s success. “We have received overwhelming interest from the industry to enter the awards. “With our user friendly entries process through our revamped website the industry can easily enter the awards online,” Ms Mavoa said. “We would like to encourage individuals and the tourism industry to submit their entries before our deadline on Monday October 23.” ANZ FETA continues to promote excellence bringing together industry members to recognise and celebrate milestone achievements within the tourism industry. The 2017 ANZ Fiji Excellence in Tourism Awards will commemorate its 21st season in the Fijian tourism industry, culminating at the Awards Gala Dinner which will be held on Saturday February 17 2018.
