As the tourism industry’s largest tradeshow prepares to finalise exhibitors and the programme for the planned two-day event from Thursday 16th to Friday 17th November at the Denarau Island Convention Centre (DICC), organisers Fiji Hotel & Tourism Association (FHTA) confirm that as usual they have received interest from a wide range of suppliers this year.

The annual tourism industry tradeshow HOTEC is introducing several new programmes to boost tourism education and showcase trade skills and new trends and this has added to supplier interest.

“We are really excited that new and existing suppliers are not only keen to showcase their products and services but to also use the tradeshow to generate new leads, meet people face to face who may have been difficult to reach via phone or email and to understand first-hand what this rapidly growing industry really needs” says FHTA’s chief executive officer Fantasha Lockington.

“In this respect she advises that industry participants will have an interesting line up of programs to watch, interact with and learn from while using the tradeshow as an opportunity to see what new products and services are available. “Our core focus is to bring the industry and suppliers together at a forum that will generate improved business opportunities mutually. “Ideally our members will get to explore new product offerings and learn more productive ways to get their activities done and exhibitors get the opportunity to get feedback, expand their industry contacts and confirm that they are serious players in this industry. This is also a great opportunity to reaffirm confidence among existing customers”. The range of exhibitors already includes supplies of cleaning and chemical goods, hygiene products, vehicles, alcohol, water, wine, gas, footwear, uniforms, security systems, IT hardware & software systems, hardware, power & concrete tools, furniture, furnishings, thatching, packaging and a range of food suppliers. Registrations for booths close Wed 1st November.
