Tears flowed freely as parents watched their children receive their certificates during the Holy Trinity Kindergarten graduation in Suva yesterday. Guest speaker Reverend Yusf Sahayan reiterated and reminded parents the importance of directing their children’s path righteously adding that their graduation was the start of their achievements. Reverend Sahayan also reminded teachers, parents, and students of their duties and responsibilities. “Children come from different family backgrounds and teachers must understand and teach them with the right moral values,” Reverend Sahayan said.

Graduate Ranadi Seruwaia, 5, wants to become a doctor when she grows up.

Ranadi was among the 131 preschool students who graduated yesterday.

Her mother Aliti Tukiatoga said that they were happy with their eldest child’s achievement.

“We want our daughter to have a bright future, and we were happy that she has graduated today,” Ms Tukiatoga said.

Ms Tukiatoga has been taking her daughter to school every day this year, and Ranadi’s graduation was their reward to their guidance and support.

“Our daughter is a very hardworking child and she is always excited about school,” she said.

“She would share with us whatever she has learned in school. She is very responsible and always sets good examples for her youngest brother.” Proud dad Sailosi Tevita said they have started buying Ranadi’s school stationery, and she would be going into Year One at Holy Trinity Primary School next year.

“We give our daughter support for all her education needs.” Mr Tevita said.
