Hotec Place Augurs Well For Company
New exhibitor, Palmex Oceania (Fiji) Limited, said the HOTEC Tradeshow had enabled them to secure appointments for their business. Managing director, Thomas Johansen at Denarau Convention Centre in Sheraton Fiji Resort, said their aim was to promote their synthetic thatch and gain more traction with the resorts and home owners.
Palmex Oceania (Fiji) Limited is the exclusive Importer and Distributor of Palmex Synthetic Thatching and accessories for the South Pacific Region including Australia and New Zealand.
Mr Johansen said: “Our mission now is to convert these leads into Palmex projects in the near future. “Through HOTEC we now have a number of confirmed appointments with resorts on Denarau, Mamanucas and the Coral Coast which we are looking forward to next week.
“We are extremely happy with the feedback received from those who visited our booth and enquired about our world leading synthetic thatch Palmex.
“HOTEC is the perfect platform for companies such as Palmex Oceania to showcase our products and services to the resorts.” Mr Johansen highlighted the significance of their business. “Natural thatch rooves are prone to leaks, will rot, grow mildew and attract small insects and pests, which limits the rooves lifespan to as little as two or three years. “To combat such issues, regular fumigating with toxic chemicals is required. Natural rooves also constantly shed pieces of leaves and dirt over what they cover. They are susceptible to wind damage and are dangerously flammable in dry seasons.
“In order to address these many drawbacks, Palmex International developed a premium roofing product that faithfully duplicates the exotic look of natural thatch but requires no maintenance. “A Palmex roof is guaranteed for 20 years and will likely last a lifetime! Palmex Synthetic Thatch provides unrivalled protection against rain and sun because it uses the same materials used for manufacturing small boats and water tanks.”
