“The birth of Prophet Muhammad symbolises love and peace to all human races,” Mr Faheem said.

“iTaukeis were part of the celebration as well. We invited them so they could know and have a fair idea of our religion and in a way we could show common respect among each other,” he said.

Chief guest Divisional Police Commander Northern Vereani Nakauyaca reminded all to follow the teachings of Prophet Muhammad in order to live a peaceful life. “Teachings such as praying five times a day, help the poor and needy, commit no crime, always forgive others, fulfil promises, always speak the truth and many more true virtues,” he said.

“The Holy Quran consist of the same basic message which God has given in all religions and all prophets brought this same message for our guidance,” he said. “Prophet Muhammad was chosen by God to bring His message and to a lost humanity,” he said.
