About 500 potential candidates showed up at the Friendly North Inn on Monday for the Fiji Airways recruitment of cabin crew.

Fiji Airways general manager for Inflight Service Delivery Edwin Aisake said : “The response from the applicants had been great with the number of interested candidates exceeding the expectations. “Candidates were at the Friendly North Inn by 7am. “Recruitment process includes interviews, group activities and 50 metre lap swim,” he added.

The recruitment team will be at Daku Resort in Savusavu today.

“Those who missed the recruitment drive in Labasa can come to Savusavu. “The purpose of this recruitment drive was to reach out as many potential candidates wanting to join the airline and become the next ambassadors of Fiji Airways.

“Some of the key requirements for the recruitment were for candidates to bring their curriculum vitae (CV), certificates, photos and also taking part in the swimming exercise.

“The next stage of the recruitment is that we will be in contact with the successful applicant for an online exam.

“Following the exam, candidates will be called for a face to face interview,” he said.

Successful candidates are likely to take up positions in the first quarter of next year.
