It was a joyous occasion for couple Praneel and Sonika Kumar, who both graduated with a Bachelor of Education (Primary) yesterday.

They graduated from the Fiji National University’s College of Humanities and Education during a ceremony at the Vodafone Arena in Suva.

“We’re both teaching in Valelawa in Labasa, so we decided to do parttime courses at FNU Labasa campus in 2014.” Mr Prasad said they faced difficulties in some courses they took. “We both spent three years studying and we’re both private students. We are also thankful to our family for their unending support.

“We dedicate our achievements to all our family and all those who have supported us in our study.”

Mrs Kumar said she was also thankful to have a loving husband who helped her with assignments.

“We are extremely happy and proud to be able to complete our studies,” she said.

“In 2009 to 2010 we did Diploma in Education at FNU that is where we met, and the rest is history.”

She said family support helped them.

The couple plan to further their studies next year.
