YEAR 12 STUDENT 385
Natabua High School Year 12 pupil Rishav Prasad attained a total of 385/400 in the Year 12 examination.
Rishav scored 87 in English, 100 in Chemistry, 99 in Biology, 99 in Maths and 99 in Physics.
“This Christmas season is special to me as I will be celebrating the festivities, my birthday is on 26th December and also celebrate my achievement,” Rishav said.
“This year has been challenging and competitive but I am happy with my marks and plan to do better in the Year 13 examinations next year.”
His dad Dhirendra Prasad who is a regular letter writer in the Fiji Sun said that he was extremely proud of his son’s achievement. “It is a proud moment for our family and my wife Sunita Prasad and I have always advised our children to set career goals and achieve it,” Mr Prasad said.
Rishav thanked his subject teachers and school Principal for encouraging him throughout the year. He will be going back to Natabua High School next year and plans to specialize in cardiology in the future. Meanwhile, Xavier College student Aliha Anshira Nisha top scored with the highest marks in the Year 12 examinations for the school and plans to study medicine in future.
She scored a total of 383/400 in the Year 12 examination.
She scored 89 in English, 99 in Chemistry and Maths, 96 in Biology and 95 in Chemistry.
“This year has been hectic and competitive and I am happy with my marks,” Aliha said.
“I will be resuming school next year and plan to score better marks next year, and later study medicine for my tertiary studies.” Her mum Maimul Ali said that Aliha had been a hard working child from primary school.
“We are proud of her achievements and as the eldest child of the family, she is setting the standard for the others,” Ms Ali said. Aliha’s grandmother Amrul Nisha said that she was extremely proud of her granddaughter’s achievements as well.
“I was so happy that I travelled all the way from New Zealand to visit her,” Ms Nisha said.
