He said,” The selection would be made after those who had applied for a teaching post had sat the Teachers Test on January 2”.
Mr Bure said the rest would fill in the 1235 new teaching posts for this year”.
The new postings, he said, should be known on Monday, January 8. For those posted to the maritime schools he said they should check with the Government Shipping Service (GSS) as they had the shipping schedules for ships travelling to Yasayasa Moala, Northern Lau, Upper Southern Lau, Lower Southern Lau, Lomaiviti and Rotuma. The ministry he said was urging all teachers to be at their schools on January 10.
Classroom teaching begins on January 15.
The teachers all reached the retiring age of 55. The selection ( for their replacements) would be made after those who had applied for a teaching post had sat the Teachers Test on January 2.
