Stallions crowned 10s Champs
Selectors name strong squad for Provincial 10s
Suva Rugby Union spokesman Peceli Dredrenalagi said they are expecting a competitive 2018 season. This was after Shipping Services Suva Stallions edged out Marist 10-7 in the Suva Tens final at Buckhurst Park, yesterday. “The community-based club prepared well for the competition and deserve the win,” he said.
“Apart from Stallions, the other community teams are working harder to match the Forces teams of Army, Police and Navy.” The Stallions upset favourites Army 19-12 in the Cup quarterfinals before walloping Covenant Brothers 17-7 in the semifinal. Stallions were led by Suva lock forward Alipate Matavilia and Fiji Airways Fijian 7s squad member Elia Canakaivata.
