The announcement was made at the launch of the 2018 Vodafone Premier League at the Fiji Football Association Academy in Vatuwaqa, yesterday.

Kumar aims to coach the premier and senior teams’ coaches.

“I would like to thank Fiji Football Association for giving me the opportunity to participate in this high profile course,”Kumar said. “And also giving me time to go out into the districts and practice my A-license assignments.

“I would also like to acknowledge all the players and officials from various districts who I had been working with.

“My aim will not necessary be to coach any team but to coach the coaches and also to mentor those coaches who are still progressing with their A-license and B-license programme.

“I believe it will be a great experience for the coaches to develop their teams in different categories that involve premier, senior and youth.

“After receiving this level of experience I will not leave the country but stay back and expand my knowledge with my fellow Fijians and develop football in the country.

“I am really grateful to Fiji Football for investing a lot in me. It’s time that I give it back for the betterment of the sport in the country.”
