Usamate Opens LTA Suva Express Office
The opening of the Suva Express Office for the Land Transport Authority would alleviate the more than 300 customers a day at the Valelevu headquarters.
This was highlighted yesterday by the Minister for Employment and Acting Minister for Infrastructure and Transport, Jone Usamate during the opening of the Suva Express Office at the Fiji National Provident Fund (FNPF) Plaza in Suva.
Mr Usamate said the flagship office came at a time when there was an increased demand to invest in the transport sector, for which customers required fast, efficient and easy access to LTA services.
“The new office is a proactive initiative of the Fijian Government to uplift and standardise LTA’s customer service facilities and delivery across Fiji,” Mr Usamate said.
“We are doing this for the benefit of the Fijian people.
“With an average of 300 people served daily, having decentralised LTA services in the heart of the city, LTA operations will become much easier.”
LTA Board Chairman, Vijay Maharaj said he was confident that this initiative would definitely allow LTA to connect with its customers daily and provide them with easily accessible services.
The Suva LTA Express Office will be operational from Monday to Friday from 8 am to 4:30 pm and on Saturdays from 9 am to 1pm. The LTA services at the Suva Express office will include:
Payment of vehicle inspection fees; Vehicle registration fees (wheel tax for post inspected vehicle);
Driver license renewal;
Payment of TINS or fine;
Search records;
Fee payment, booking and result queries for Defensive Driving Course; and
One of the services will include the Accident Compensation Commission Fiji (ACCF), Motor Vehicle Levy Collection, where the LTA became the only authorised agent to collect this levy for ACCF.
