It’s Back to Work in Style with Samson Lee

And he’s also fully involved in the Fijian Fashion Festival

- MARAIA VULA

Samson Lee has become a household name. Simply because the fashion label owner and fashion Designer Samson Lee is very much passionate and confident about designing for the Fijian market and overseas market as well.

Samson as he is commonly known has introduced a new 2018 SL Corporate Collection Loa.

Last year he opened his first boutique shop in Butt Street, Suva and is proud to be fulfilling his life-long dream. “Earlier this year we decided that everyone is doing back to school shopping so we thought as a boutique why not do something for going back to work for women.

“We came up with the Loa Collection because in iTaukei language loaloa means black and we were making black dresses and skirts. It can be your corporate wear or evening wears for cocktail events, maybe as a black party dress because it’s easy, stylish and it’s something you can wear.

“So if you notice the cut is very different to suit the style and it also is an office appropriate wear.

“It’s fun, cool, trendy and affordable. We have the pattern and fabric available so customise made.”

Samson said the black dresses are like time less pieces and are more of wardrobe essential.

Business growth

In terms of business, Samson said they have been busy ever since the boutique opened and it’s been good.

“We have had private orders that come in and keep us busy too.”

He is a member of the Fashion Council of Fiji and will be part of the Fijian Fashion Festival in June.

A lot of his inspiration comes from here in Fiji and the Pacific. Especially from the ocean, rich marine heritage.

He will be coming out with a new collection next month that focuses mostly on kids wear.
