This includes two new state-ofthe-art lecture theatres; medical laboratory and air-conditioning systems.
Amajor upgrade to meet the growing demands from potential and current students has led to a major upgrade of the University of Fiji’s Suva Campus.
UniFiji Vice-Chancellor Professor Prem Misir said they were happy with the response and looking forward to seeing their students use the facilities. “Suva Campus has been re-modernised, rehabilitated and will soon be a fully fledged university to benefit our students,” Mr Misir said.
“There are two new stateof-the-art lecture theatres with a sitting capacity of 300 to 350, a medical laboratory, every room has an airconditioning system and there has been an upgrade to our power capacity.
“It is really looking good, and has been a boost for some of the hard work that the people have helped in dealing with the reconstruction.”
Mr Misir also confirmed that they appreciated the recognition that the Government had given to the institution.
“The University of Fiji is a fully registered university by the Government of Fiji through the Fiji Higher Education Commission (FHEC),” he said. “There has always been a misconception whether we

He said face-to-face registrations will begin from January 29 to February 3, 2018.
The newly-constructed campus will open on February 5 when the semester starts for this year.
