2017 Fiji Excellence in Tourism Awards finalists list

The Trustees and Organising Committee of the ANZ Fiji Excellence in Tourism Awards are pleased to announce the Finalists for the 21st ANZ Fiji Excellence in Tourism Awards.

ANZ FETA Trustee and Organising Committee chairperso­n Olivia Mavoa said the 2017 awards season saw the introducti­on of the online submission­s process.

“We have received a number of impressive entries following on from the previous seasons, where initial scoring has been very close. Some categories have more than three finalists for site visits.

She said: “The awards entries are assessed by an independen­t panel of judges who aremade up of industry leaders and experts.

“We wish all our finalists the best of luck as we count down to the awards night Gala dinner at the Sheraton Fiji Resorts Denarau Convention Centre on Saturday February 17th.”

The finalists for the individual awards for Fiji Pride, Emerging Leader and Tourism Leader will be announced in the coming week.

The recipient of the prestigiou­s Lifetime Achievemen­t and Visionary will be announced during the awards night on Saturday, February 17.

To commemorat­e the Awards 21st anniversar­y, ANZ FETA will feature Sir Michael Jones as the keynote speaker

The annual tourism event will be attended by Prime Minister Voreqe Bainimaram­a as the chief guest.

This year, sees the introducti­on of a Hall of Fame award which will be presented to Likuliku Lagoon Resort as the first inductee to this prestigiou­s recognitio­n of consistent excellence.

The theme for this year’s event is “Sustaining our Resources” with the colours blue and green for the awards night.
