Sanchez flies family to Paris to celebrate first goal

-

London: London: Alexis Sanchez may have undertaken extra training in recent weeks – but the Manchester United forward is also enjoying some well-earned down time after his hectic start to the new year.

After months of reports linking him with a move away from Arsenal, the Chile international put pen to paper on a £350,000-aweek deal at Old Trafford last month.

Sanchez netted his first goal for his new club in their 2-0 win over Huddersfield on Saturday and toasted the milestone with a trip to Paris.

The forward took his family to the French capital on a private jet and then posed in front of the city’s most famous landmarks.

Alongside family members — some of whom sported United shirts — Sanchez was pictured in front of the Eiffel Tower.

The Chile international also gave supporters an insight into his life of luxury by posting photographs taken from inside the private jet.

Sanchez will be back in action for United this weekend when they travel to struggling Newcastle on Sunday. Sanchez uploaded a series of photographs from inside the jet to his official Instagram account

And on Monday the club’s record goalscorer, Wayne Rooney, gave a ringing endorsement of United’s newest hitman. “For me Sanchez is the perfect player for United. He’s got aggression, passion, desire and you can see he’s a winner,’ Rooney told Sky Sports.

“That’s what they’ve lacked, players around Lukaku that are going to push Lukaku on and try and help him get a bit more freedom and score more goals.

“Sanchez will do that, they’re the players you want because they lift other players and give them an extra five per cent.”
