HAMILTON JUST THE START OF MANY MORE VICTORIES TO COME: GARETH BABER

- PENI KOMAISAVAI Edited by Osea Bola

Fiji Airways Fijian 7s coach Gareth Baber said they would be looking to repeat what they had done in Hamilton for the rest of the World Sevens Series. The Seremaia Tuwai-captained team defeated South Africa in the Cup final 24-17 last weekend.

“We have got to repeat what we did in Hamilton,”Baber said.

“We will take a look at the positives and negatives of what we had done over the past two weekends and learn from it.

“We need to coach the players on how to get victories more often and obviously turning winning as a habit.” Baber said their aim would be getting their players to perform at the highest level.

“I don’t change my plan, but rather get the players to work and train harder because obviously every other team would be doing the same.

“Get them to work harder because there is no complacency in our plan just working hard.”

CONGRATULATION TUWAI

Baber congratulated Fiji Airways Fijian 7s captain Seremaia Tuwai after he married his long-time sweetheart Mereani Folau Tupou yesterday.

“Fantastic for him, he has led his country well in the past couple of weeks and I am very pleased with him. “Also i would like to wish him well for he has been a great captain and congratulations to him and his family.” Baber was the chief guest during the Marist Brothers High School prefects’ induction in Suva yesterday.
