Risng welterweight boxer Sebastian ‘The Sniper’ Singh has warned local boxers that he’s ready to put them to sleep if they dare to step into the ring with him.

Singh was reacting to critics after an easy fourth round knockout win over Jomyuth Sor Narongchai of Thailand at the Suva Lami Bay Novotel’s Convention Centre on Friday night.

“I just want to fight these local boys and I want to put them all to sleep because I am tired of all their criticisms” he told SUNsports. “I work hard and my goal is not just to win the Fiji title but I am also thinking of a world title.” Singh said he was ready to take on any local boxer that wanted to fight him.

“In the welterweight Sebastian Singh is here, if they are ready to fight, then I am ready to fight any day,” he added.

CHALLENGERS

Already, Singh has been challenged by the unbeaten Siliveni Nawai, Ronald Naidu and Abhay Chand of Mulomulo Boxing Club in Nadi.

The country’s welterweight title is currrently held by Junior ‘The Razor’ Farzan Ali . Singh stopped Farzan in the first round during their clash at Prince Charlkes Park, Nadi, last year. Recently, Singh was stripped off his World Boxing Foundation Asia Pacific super lightweight title after he pulled out of his fight against Brent ‘Sugar’ Dames due to illness.

GAME PLAN

In his 10-round fight against Narongchai, Singh warmed up in the first three rounds before finishing off his opponent in the fourth round in what seemed to be a mismatch.

“I would like to give back the glory to God, I cannot say much about Jomyuth Sor Narongcha because he was a tough fighter. I guess my hard work and dedication made the fight look easy but only I know the amount of dedication and hard work in order to get this result.”

Singh said his game plan was just to establish his jabs and then follow up it with the other combinations.
