Ratu Inoke, Other Defence Ministers Meet, Talk

Minister for Defence and National Security Ratu Inoke Kubuabola yesterday attended the official opening of the Defence Services Asia Exhibition and Conference in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.

And his delegation visited the Malaysia Defence College where senior RFMF military personnel are currently undertakin­g a one-year study.

The 30th anniversar­y celebratio­n of DSA makes it the longest running and successful defence exhibition in the Asian region by far.

In promoting close collaborat­ion with defence and security partners around the world it drew many defence industry leaders and technologi­cally-advanced warfare systems showcased at the exhibition centre.

This includes various sectors of disaster and emergency response, cyber security, HADR equipment counter terrorism, maritime security etc.

Malaysian Deputy Prime Minister and Home Affairs Minister Tan Sri Dato’ Haji Muhyiddin Yassin officiated at the opening of the 16th DSA while Prime Minister Najib Razak opened the Putrjaya Forum with the theme on Recalibrat­ing Regional Security Architectu­re.

Along the margins of the DSA in Kuala Lumpur, Ratu Inoke had bilateral meetings with the Indonesian Minister of Defence Ryamizard Ryacudu and the French Superior Commander of Armed Forces in New Caledonia, Major General Thierry Marchand.

Ratu Inoke is accompanie­d by the Commission­er of Police, Brigadier General Sitiveni Qiliho, senior RFMF and Police officials and Ministry of Defence personnel.
